BrellaBox

Overview

Brella-Box is a device that provides easy access information that most people in Seattle need to know before leaving the house: the temperature and the chance of rain. The device is Arduino-powered and is housed in a wooden laser-cut enclosure.

Step-by-step Development

This project consisted of ideation and prototyping. See the timeline of how we made BrellaBox using sketching, digital mockups, woodshop, and Arduino below.

How it works

BrellaBox
1

Powered with Arduino, with a quick glance at BrellaBox, the need to pull out one’s phone or check a computer for this data is unnecessary.

2

BrellaBox can detect your indoor and outdoor temperature with a switch of a button.

3

Get real time updates about rain conditions so you can always be prepared when you go outside.
